How do I Set Up My Account?Step 1: Click the “Sign Up” Link in the navigation bar and fill in your email, password, and First & Last name in the prompt window. Click “Sign Up” button to proceed to next step.
Step 2: You must verify your email. The system will send you a verification link to the email address you submitted in Step 1. When you click on the verification link, you will be brought back to DyePot.com and be automatically logged into your new account.How do I Set Up or Edit My Profile?Once logged into your Account, you can click on your profile icon in the upper right-hand corner of the site. From the dropdown menu, please select “Profile Settings”.
Here you can add your profile picture and your bio. In your bio, you are free to include your social media handles, website, and any other info that will help users get to better know you and the inspiration behind your work!How do I edit my Username and Password?Once logged into your Account, you can click on your profile icon in the upper right-hand corner of the site. From the dropdown menu, please select “Account Settings.”
On the next window, you will see the Contact Details and Password options in the sidebar. Click into the one you need to edit, edit in the next window, and click Save.How do I manage my Payment Account?Click on your profile picture in the upper right-hand corner. From there, click on Account Settings. On the left had side of your screen, you will see a sidebar. Please click “Payout Details,” and you will be able to edit your bank account details here.
If you are selling as an individual without a business entity, you select “I’m an individual.” If you have a business entity, please select “I represent a company.”
Once you select your country, you will be able to securely input your bank account details. DyePot uses Stripe.com to process all payments and deposits. Customer payments are captured by Stripe.com. Stripe.com then remits the deposit directly to your bank account and separately remits DyePot’s 5.9% fee directly to DyePot’s bank account. Your funds are never deposited into DyePot’s account.Where can I find my current and past sales?Click on the “Inbox” link next to your profile icon. You will see the “My Sales” tab in the sidebar or navigation bar. When you click on this, all your transaction will appear in the following window. You can drill down into a specific sale by double clicking into the specific transaction.After I Sell an Item
How are transactions handled?When a customer places an order, Stripe.com immediately captures the customer payment. Funds get deposited into your bank account typically within 2-3 business days (However, Stripe.com may take up to 7 business days to deposit funds).How do I ship and complete my order?When you ship the product to the customer, you can log back into the transaction to mark the order as Shipped. You can send the tracking number to the customer through a direct message within the DyePot platform.
Once the customer receives the shipment, they can then log in on their end to mark the order as received.How do buyers leave reviews for my items?Once a buyer marks the item as being received, they will be prompted to leave a review. Afterward, you will also be prompted to leave a review of the buyer.Contacting DyePot and Messaging other Users
How do I contact DyePot?If you need assistance with anything at all, please reach out to us at info@dyepot.com, and someone from our team will be happy to assist.How do I contact other users?You can message users you are currently in a transaction with. If you have a current or past sales transaction, you can go to the sales order within your “Inbox” and open the related order. Use the messaging dashboard within the transaction to message your buyer.
Alternatively, users can message you directly from any product page. Each of your product listings, has your profile info and a contact link at the bottom of the listing page. When a user clicks this link, a window pops up allowing them to message you directly.
You will receive email notifications any time a user messages you. Please be sure to reply to your user from within the DyePot website using the messaging platform and not via the email notification you received (as this reply will not reach the user).Finances
Is my payment secure?Yes. DyePot uses Stripe to process all payments and deposits. Customer payments are captured by Stripe. Your funds are never deposited into DyePot’s account.How do I issue a refund?We are currently having our developers work on a solution whereby sellers can issue a refund directly from within their account. For now, if you need to issue a refund to a customer, please reach out to us at info@dyepot.com, and we can issue it for you.Where can I see past and pending sales amounts?Once logged into your account, click on “Inbox” next to your profile icon. From there, click on “My Sales.” In this view, you will find a listing of all your sales. When you click into a sale, you will find an order breakdown detailing: The order amount, shipping amount, the DyePot fee, and the net amount you will be paid.How do I manage my payment account?Click on your profile picture in the upper right-hand corner. Please click “Payout Details,” and you will be able to edit your bank account details here.How long does it take to deposit money into my account after a sale?Customer payment is captured immediately at the time of the customer placing an order. It typically takes 2-3 business days for funds from the order to be deposited into your account (although Stripe may take up to 7 business days to deposit funds).What are DyePot’s transaction fees?• 5.9% Transaction fee (includes the Stripe payment processing transaction fee of 2.9% + 30 cents per transaction).

How do I List an Item in DyePot?On DyePot.com, click “Post a New Listing.”
Then:
Step 1: Add Product Details
In this section, you will add the relevant product details for your listing, including:
• Product/Listing title
• Detailed description (If your description contains YouTube links, the videos will be shown below the description.)
• Choose Color Family (choose all that apply)
• Yarn weight
• Colorway Name
• Your company or brand name
• Yards (or Meters) Per Skein
• Ounces (or Grams) Per Skein
• Color attributes / dye technique
• Total Yardage (Meterage)
• Washability
• Fiber Type (choose all that apply)
Step 2: Pricing and Stock
In step 2, you will set your price per listing and the amount of stock you have in inventory to sell.
Step 3: Delivery
In Step 3, you can offer both Pick-up and/or Delivery Options. If offering Pick-up as an option, you simply need to check the box next to “Pick-up” and input the pick-up address.
For Shipping option, please check the box next to “Shipping.” Here you can add two tiers. You will need to see one shipping fee for the first item and then a shipping fee for each additional item. For example, you may set a shipping fee of $5.00 for one skein and a fee of $0.75 for each additional skein added to the order.
Step 4: Photos
Finally, in this last section, you can add 2-3 photos of your yarn. Max size is 20 MB per photo, and we would recommend a size of 480px x 480px.
Click the “Publish Listing” button, and you are all set!How do I offer Local Pick-up or Delivery?You can offer both Pick-up and/or Delivery Options. If offering Pick-up as an option, you simply need to check the box next to “Pick-up” and input the pick-up address.
For Shipping option, please check the box next to “Shipping.” Here you can add two tiers. You will need to see one shipping fee for the first item and then a shipping fee for each additional item. For example, you may set a shipping fee of $5.00 for one skein and a fee of $0.75 for each additional skein added to the order.How can I add a video to my listing?In the “Detailed description” section of your product listing, you can add a YouTube link at the end of your product description. The videos will be shown below the body of text of your description.Why is my listing not active?DyePot manually checks each listing prior to the listing being made active. We do this to ensure the integrity of the site for both indie dyers and the buyers. The site is meant to only be for indie dyers to list their work directly and not for resellers.Where can I find all my Listings?Once logged into your Account, you can click on your profile icon in the upper right-hand corner of the site.
