Wow! What can I say?  It turned out to be a fantastic week-end full of sharing and fun, learning new techniques, and acquiring new passions.  Mary Ann and Jerry taught an enthusiastic group of women how to become hookers and the fine art of stripping besides! Kristy taught a group of felters and colorful eggs and rabbits, sheep and stars were made by the group.  Deb gave a brief talk on weaving and then anyone who was interested tried their hand at it.  Janet never let the loom get too far away from her and I think a few of the gals will see looms of their own looming up in the not too distant future!  One of the towels was part of our door prizes and was the one that just about everyone had a hand in which makes it that much more special!  Ann was the lucky recipient of that, you lucky dog!  Dinner was served family style and we were treated with such goodies as homemade rolls, meat loaf, fresh salads, fried chicken, pork BBQ, roast beef, mashed potato's, gravy, green beans, stewed tomato's, macaroni and cheese, and homemade cookies, cake and apple crisp for desert.   Our room was HUGE with plenty of room to spread out in.  Everyone who had a massage just raved about how wonderful Shelia was and they floated back into the room with the peaceful look of nirvana about them.   Next year we may have to book 2 people to keep up! The gals from Kentucky were a riot and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their spirit and enthusiasm and the fact that they had to travel about 8 hours to get here!  I feel sure everyone will stay in touch with one another as we feel we are all family now and plans were being made to meet up at Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival and at Montpelier in October until we can all meet up again next year for the 2nd annual Blue Ridge Silk Works Knitters & Spinners Retreat!
